Phoenix – Rising from the Ashes

The phoenix is a mythical bird with a tail of red and gold plumage, who once every 500-800 years builds a nest of cinnamon twigs that it sets ablaze, reducing both bird and nest to ashes. From the ashes, a young phoenix or egg rises to be born anew, repeating this cycle for all eternity.

Versions of phoenix lore exist in nearly every culture on Earth. Early Christian writers used the phoenix as a symbol of Christ’s resurrection, immortality and life after death.

The owners of ACD felt the Phoenix was the perfect symbol to honor courageous efforts of its employees after a devastating fire, which consumed its manufacturing floor during the night of June 19th, 2003; while at the same time recognizing the blessings that flow from the Risen Christ.
